Creator Confidential

I’m Lucie Fink, video producer, digital creator, and former host at Refinery29. Over the past decade, I’ve built an audience of 1M+, reached hundreds of millions of viewers, and partnered with world-class brands. Every two weeks, I pull back the curtain and share the exact strategies and creative frameworks I use so you can grow faster, smarter, and with the right audience.

Today’s read: 9 minutes

Trying to grow on social media can feel overwhelming, but with a few focused strategies, you’ll be way ahead of the curve. This week, I’m breaking down exactly what I’d do to grow from 0 to 100k followers if I lost my entire audience tomorrow and had to rebuild everything from scratch.

This issue includes:

  • 🎯 My exact roadmap to 100k (spoiler: reaching a certain follower count should not be your goal)

  • 📺 Why formatted video series are mandatory in 2026 (and how I produce my own)

  • ♻️ How I turned one viral video into three different high-performing posts

  • 🤝 A new way I'm working with clients one-on-one to support their growth

  • 📅 Two creator events worth keeping your calendar open for next year

Exactly what I'd do to grow from 0 to 100k followers

Let's be honest. "100k followers" sounds impressive. It looks good in a bio. It unlocks certain features and opportunities.

But here's what I need you to understand before we go any further: growing to 100k followers should not actually be your goal.

I know that sounds contradictory coming from someone who just used that number in the subject line of this email…but stick with me.

If your goal is to build an audience as a creator, you don't just want 100,000 random people (or robots) following you. You’d be better off with just 1,000 of the right people who will actually engage with your content, trust your recommendations, and truly care about what you have to say. And yes, growing that 1,000 to 100,000 over time (slowly & steadily) can be the ultimate goal.

And if you're building a personal brand or selling something? Your goal definitely should not be an arbitrary follower count. Your goal should be driving people to purchase, generating real sales, and building a community that converts.

The number is vanity. The strategy is sanity.

That said, everyone wants to grow and attract the right people. So let me walk you through exactly what I would do if I were starting from scratch today.
